From autumn 2010, numerous additions to the range of engines and the set of equipment for a large number of model series will bring a further increase in the diversity of the BMW model range. After the successful launch, the new 5 Series Sedan can be also, from September 2010 for the first time equipped with technology clever four-wheel drive BMW xDrive. This drive system, electronically controlled four-wheel drive will mount on the BMW 550i xDrive Sedan, which is driven by an eight-cylinder engine.

For its part, the BMW 535d Saloon offers greater possibilities in the choice of engines. This new top model in the series diesel version is powered by a six-cylinder with 220 kW / 299 hp BMW TwinPower Turbo, which will also be available for the BMW 5 Series Touring from September 2010. The range of this car engine is complemented with two engine variants, immediately following its market launch. At the time of its introduction, the BMW X3 is available with two engines of modern technology. The four-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X3 xDrive20d has a maximum output of 135 kW/184 hp. This means you have 5 kW more than the previous model. However, the average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is 14 percent lower, which means that now is 5.6 liters per 100 kilometers.
