Renault sells its shares and created Lotus Renault GP
What was virtually an open secret for quite a long time in the paddock of Formula 1 has finally been confirmed: Renault has sold its 25% stake in the team and after an agreement between Capital and Group Genii Lotus, Lotus Renault has finally born GP.
It initially said the announcement would be made well in advance but confirmation has come just now. Thus emerges a more complicated problem for Tony Fernandez, Lotus Racing team owner who has registered the team for the 2011 season under the name of Team Lotus.
From now on there will be very attentive to begin to see who gets the real name of the legendary English club founded by Colin Chapman. First picture of the McLaren MP4-26 Formula 1 for 2011?
We are already beginning to throb with a new Formula 1 campaign.
