Opel Ampera (2012) 1.4 16V

Renault Fluence EV, iOn Peugeot, Nissan Leaf…next year will mark the final landing of electric cars. Are the size they are, they all share a ‘default’ common: you can not go over 160 miles without recharging. However, Opel will sell an electric model that does not have this drawback: the Ampera.

How do you get? Using a small gasoline engine that is not used to move the car, but acts as a generator of electricity. The downside is that this means that, unlike the models mentioned above, the Ampera not completely ‘clean’ and have a minimal pollutants -50 g / km CO2, half of an efficient turbodiesel as the VW Golf Bluemotion- although, in contrast, does not suffer the problem of autonomy of other electric models.

Moreover, the Ampera is similar to any compact, ie has enough features for traveling, offers the same equipment as any other modern car. But inside is limited to four passengers and their luggage has 301 liters capacity more typical of urban models.
